Methodological Approaches - Research Work

Abstract

Until very recently did not exist in the curriculum of any university Spanish one subject which will focus specifically on the methodology of scientific research. Now, finally, have been incorporated into the postgraduate programmes, including in some places as compulsory. It is certainly a breakthrough, because as you can investigate without knowing the methods and techniques of research, so this module is vital for preparing future researchers, by offering all guidance and information needed to produce satisfactory work. For this reason, the module is structured into three parts. The first focuses on the epistemological aspects of research in social sciences. The second is devoted to an analysis of the different facets that are part of the research process, including the definition of the study, formulating hypotheses, identifying sources, and so on. And the last part, in which students will learn as drafted and that should take shape and style of research.

Course Objectives

- To learn and familiarize themselves with different approaches, methods and techniques research.
- Apply the knowledge and tools developed throughout this module.
- To design, develop and carry out research work related to the contents of the modules for the Masters.
