 Advanced Studies on Islam in the European Contemporary Society

The diverse changes that European societies are experiencing, many of them as the result of new and old migration processes, require a training to help understand the different phenomena and challenges that these changes generate. Especially the formation and/or consolidation of religious, cultural and/or linguistic minorities, among which stand out the Muslim minority, poses new challenges and situations that nowadays occupies a predominant place in the European agenda. Therefore, it is increasingly common that governments claim new research which helps, not only to guide politics to the Islamic world, but also to improve the relationships with Muslin communities in our societies. In this context, the interest in studies on Islam and their communities in Europe is growing day by day.
